Care products and accessories

Good care need not be complicated. For many pieces of outdoor furniture, a soft brush, water and a little time are a good start. The key is to choose cleaning and care products suitable for the particular surface.

Regular, gentle cleaning helps maintain the wood surface.

Everyday care essentials

Start with gentle cleaning. Remove leaves, sand and dust with a soft brush or cloth. On suitable surfaces, use mild soapy water for more stubborn dirt. Rinse with clean water and allow to dry thoroughly.

  • Soft brush and cloth: for routine cleaning without unnecessary abrasion
  • Mild cleaning product: use only if suitable for the material
  • Water and time: remove residues and allow surfaces to dry fully

Teak oil and colour care

Untreated teak can gradually develop a silvery-grey colour outdoors. If you appreciate its natural patina, oiling it for appearance alone is not necessary. Suitable care products may be considered to refresh its warm tone.

Before oiling, check the manufacturer's instructions, the condition of the surface and the product's suitability. Test a small area to assess colour changes. Too much oil or an unsuitable product can result in an uneven finish.

Using protective covers correctly

A suitable protective cover keeps dirt away. Pay particular attention to drainage and adequate ventilation. Airtight coverings or trapped condensation can promote moisture problems. Do not cover wet furniture, and check the cover regularly.

Cushions and pads

Clean cushions and fabric pads according to their care labels, and store them clean and dry during longer periods without use. Different fabrics may require different cleaning products and washing temperatures; the instructions for the specific item take precedence.

Stainless steel and different surfaces

Depending on the finish, mild, non-abrasive cleaning is suitable for stainless steel. Avoid aggressive products and abrasive pads. For painted, coated or specially treated parts, the manufacturer's specific instructions take precedence.
