ELSOL sun lounger – well protected in winter
Protected in a few simple steps
To help ensure that your ELSOL sun lounger continues to give you pleasure after the cold months, we recommend a few simple steps.
Store cushions in a dry place
Remove the cushions completely from the lounger during winter. Store them clean and dry. The cushions should not remain under the protective cover throughout winter.
Clean the wood and let it dry
If needed, remove dirt with a soft cloth or brush, water and a little mild soapy solution. Let the iroko wood dry sufficiently before covering the lounger.
The right protective cover helps
The protective cover intended for your ELSOL sun lounger helps protect the wood and the lounger from direct weather exposure. However, condensation can still form underneath a suitable cover when the weather changes.
Check occasionally during winter
Check your lounger regularly during extended periods under cover, especially after prolonged wet weather. If moisture has collected under the cover, open or remove it and allow the lounger to dry completely before covering it again. This helps prevent trapped moisture and standing water.
Spring – time to relax
At the start of the garden season, a quick cleaning is usually enough. Put the dry cushions back in place and enjoy your favourite outdoor spot.
The adjustment mechanism is maintenance-free. Regular oiling, greasing or readjustment is not necessary.
Real wood remains natural
Like teak, iroko responds to weather and moisture. Natural greying or fine surface and drying cracks may occur even with careful maintenance. Suitable wood oil can provide additional surface protection, but cannot reliably prevent natural wood movement or possible cracking.
