Iroko wood – naturally beautiful and easy to care for
For regular cleaning, a soft brush or cloth with water and a little mild soapy solution is usually sufficient. Remove any residue and allow the wood to dry well. Avoid pressure washers and aggressive cleaning products.
Like teak, iroko develops a silvery-grey patina over time through sunlight and weathering. If you prefer the original warm wood colour, you may occasionally treat a clean, dry surface with a care oil suitable for iroko. Follow the oil manufacturer's instructions.
Good to know: Oiling is optional. It can offer additional surface protection and help retain the warm wood colour for longer. Even proper oil care cannot completely prevent natural wood movement or possible cracks.
Real wood has character
Each piece of iroko is unique. Grain, subtle colour differences and natural changes are part of its appeal. Wood responds to sunlight, temperature and humidity. Fine surface and drying cracks may develop over time; these are among the possible characteristics of solid wood.
However, not every crack is automatically typical of the material. Whether a specific change constitutes a defect depends especially on its extent and any effects on stability, safety and fitness for use.
Relax with ease – the adjustment mechanism
The ELSOL sun lounger adjustment mechanism is maintenance-free. Regular oiling, greasing or readjustment is not necessary. Operate it as intended, without applying force.

Clean the cushions according to their care instructions. For winter, remove them and store them clean and dry.
